[Windows VPS] 求教Debian6，如何更改命令历史记录保存条数

google搜了一下

对于 bash, /etc/profile中设置
HISTFILE=~/.bash_history
HISTSIZE=10000
HISTFILESIZE=999999

但我的/etc/profile没有设置项

请教大家如何解决
