Earlier this year, VeriSign, the registry for .com and .net domain names, announced that it would be raising its prices on July 1st 2010.
VeriSign will be increasing its cost prices to all registrars as follows:
* .com domain names will be increase by $0.48 from $6.86 to $7.34 per domain year.
* .net domain names will be increasing by $0.42 from $4.98 to $5.40 per domain year.
In addition to the fees above, Resell.biz is also required to pay a fee to ICANN of $0.18 per domain year.
As a result Resell.biz has been forced to increase its prices as follows:
* Tier 1
.com domains will be increasing from $7.79 to $8.27 per domain year
.net domains will be increasing from $7.49 to $7.91 per domain year
* Tier 2
.com domains will be increasing from $7.25 to $7.73 per domain year
.net domains will be increasing from $6.49 to $6.91 per domain year
The prices above will apply to all new registrations and renewals from 1st July onwards. You can avoid this increase by renewing your domain names before June 30th 2010.
